Originally from Manchester, Nexus 23 got into music at 14 playing bass in a drum'n'bass/rock/funk fusion band in Oxford called "Third Eye Image".
They never had a record deal but were a very popular live band.
His Electro influences are Dopplereffect, Drexciya, BOSE, Cybotron, amongst others,
but he also likes a lot of drum'n'bass/hardcore/techno music.
What made Nexus 23 start producing music was the fact that he was recording his band and doing all the technical stuff himself.

He was introduced to the programme "Reason" by a friend and started making his own productions from the age of 15.
Firstly writing drum'n'bass but soon switched to electro having been re-exposed to the seminal track "Al-Naafysh" by Hashim
which a friend gave him on CD which he remembered hearing growing up in the 80's.
Reason and Logic on a Mac are his weapons of choice, but occasionally incorporates sampling himself playing bass guitar into the tracks
(Check out the bass guitar on the track "Vision").
He got this idea through listening to BOSE tracks like 'Bass Overdrive'.
